Building Sustainable Exhibition Stands

Insights from the ExhibitCraft project team.

Sustainable exhibition stand materials

Sustainability is no longer optional for exhibition programmes. Organisers, attendees, and procurement teams increasingly expect exhibitors to demonstrate responsible material choices and waste reduction strategies.

The most effective approach combines reusable modular frameworks with recyclable graphics and LED lighting. Aluminium structures can be redeployed across dozens of shows, dramatically reducing the timber and composite waste associated with single-use custom builds.

Material selection matters at every layer. We specify FSC-certified wood where timber is required, low-VOC paints and adhesives, and textile graphics that can be refreshed without replacing entire wall systems. Carpet tiles and rental furniture further reduce the environmental footprint of each event.

ExhibitCraft Global tracks material lifecycle data for clients who report on ESG metrics. If sustainability targets are part of your brief, share them early — we will propose stand solutions that meet both your visual ambitions and your corporate responsibility commitments.
